Description:
The diagnosis and management of diseases affecting the auditory system have been revolutionized by modern radiologic imaging modalities and a working knowledge of advances within this field will augments the practice of clinical audiology. This eAudiology Web seminar provides an introduction to temporal bone anatomy. An overview of the radiologic techniques involved in the diagnosis of neuroaudiologic disease will be presented along with a review of pathologic diseases affecting the auditory system. Participants will then make correlations between audiology and radiology with clinical scenarios.
Matthew L. Bush, MD, received an undergraduate degree from Bob Jones University and medical degree from Marshall University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Kentucky. He then completed a research fellowship and a Neurotology and Cranial Base Surgery fellowship at The Ohio State University and Nationwide Children's Hospital Research Institute. He currently is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Kentucky.
